Today LevelTen Energy announced that it is conducting a Request for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of an experienced energy buyer seeking to procure a large volume of renewable energy in Europe. Our client, an RE100 member, has executed a significant number of off-site renewable energy transactions to-date, and is now expanding its renewable energy purchases into Europe. Proposals from European projects ranging from 50 to 500 megawatts will be considered.
The RFP is active now and proposals are due July 20, 2020. All bidders must submit responses through LevelTen's online Platform. To request access to the platform and obtain additional information about this RFP, contact developerservices@LevelTenEnergy.com.
We are excited to announce another large-scale RFP following our expansion to Europe last year, and we expect many to follow soon. Voluntary renewable energy procurement among corporations is rapidly gaining momentum in Europe thanks to a confluence of factors. According to BloombergNEF, RE100 members alone are set to stimulate global investment in renewables worth €90 billion over the next ten years. With over 40% of RE100 members headquartered in Europe, the EU should see a significant proportion of this investment.
"With LevelTen's analytics-driven platform and expert advisors, corporate buyers can confidently and seamlessly navigate different markets to enter into the highest value, lowest risk PPAs to meet their commitments," said Jason Tundermann, Vice President of Business Development at LevelTen Energy. "Our sophisticated analytics engine, which calculates over a billon data points daily, enables corporations to easily compare renewable energy offers across North America and Europe."
We look forward to supporting this customer's exciting global renewable energy strategy and to working with others to procure PPAs throughout the region.
